Day, Food in Rimping Village

Super friendly and kind staff - I have not yet experienced such great hospitality as in Rimping Village! My 9-month-old son is allergic to dairy, so they went out of their way and prepared dairy-free pancakes. They also arranged gluten-free bread. Room was spacious and clean. Pool was clean but with too cool water for my taste. However, my son seemed to love it 😁 Location is also nice - not too far from the city but on a quiet street.

Restaurant/Places to Eat in Rimping Village

Via Booking we received an upgrade to a Deluxe Double Room. The room was spacious with a comfortable large bed. There were complimentary fruits, water, tea and coffee. We used the free bikes (some had children seats) and bike lock to go to and from Chiang Mai. The pool was very good with sufficient sun beds. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) very good and with variety.

Restaurant/places to eat in Rimping Village

A small resort that can meet all our needs for a break - definitely not a luxurious resort and honestly the setting of the reception is particularly underwhelming - but it is all good given how much it costs. Small room but comfy, sufficient choice of food for breakfast, got afternoon treat, got a pool, free bike, walkable distance to night markets, no onsite spa but there are a few good massage parlours within walkable distance as well, friendly staff. You won't be disappointed for the money that you have to pay.

Food close-up in Rimping Village

We are a family with 11 & 12 year old kids. Our main priorities tend to be: nice breakfast, pool, and a 2 bedroom room. Rimping Village delivers on all three. Breakfast is a great mix of Thai and Western dishes and changes a bit each day, pool is lovely and there’s plenty of space for families to spread out. The service is laid back but very attentive and hospitable. Staff could not have possibly been more helpful and were always helping us arrange rides around town, excursions, restaurants etc.

Think clean and comfortable and then add some luxury to it. Impressive touches like burning a mosquito coil outside the room at night and providing pocket sized hand sanitizer that came in super useful when exploring. Breakfast was great and they also served an afternoon tea that was inclusive - biscuits, fruit, sticky rice, that sort of thing. Lovely helpful staff. We arrived early and were happy to do some exploring until check in time but they insisted we have breakfast and had a room ready for us in no time. 100% recommend.

Great breakfast (if only a few rooms are occupied, you get even made-to-order Thai breakfast). Great complimentary afternoon treats such as mango sticky rice (mango season) and others. Rooms nice and quiet, pool area nice and pool well tempered. Staff very friendly and looking after the property. Tasty iced Latte and Mango shake. I even received a complimentary cake for my birthday ;-) Short walk to Anusarn Nightmarket.

Property building in Rimping Village

Lovely little place, well kept rooms and nice restaurant / breakfast area. Good selection of food for breakfast which suited us. Quiet in the evening but that wasn’t an issue as its only a 5 minute walk to the Iron bridge (Khua Lek) with access over the Ping river into the centre of town. (There is small alley cut through!) It took us about 15/20 minutes casual walk to get into the old town but there is plenty on the way to stop off and see, drink / eat… The staff were really helpful and polite, helping us with taxi transfers and any other information we needed. We took a private taxi up to Chiang Rai (took 3 hours) There are free bicycles that we used to potter about on too! We only stayed 4 nights but the pool was an added bonus for the days we just wanted to relax. Doesn’t get a lot of direct sunshine due to the huge tree at the side of the property but again wasn’t important for our stay, as it was nice to just chill out for a few hours after a busy day. Rooms were perfect and clean, although the walls are thin (but that seems to be everywhere, not just here!) - highly recommend!

Restaurant/Places to Eat in Rimping Village

This was our second time here and luckily all was as we remembered. The afternoon snacks are a lovely touch which the kids love, the breakfast is the best I've ever had in Thailand in terms of variety and our room was a brilliant size. The beds are also the comfiest I've slept in in Thailand too. It's also a fantastic location for the night market but if you turn left out of the hotel instead of right you'll also find a little local market which has some tasty cheaper food!

The Housekeeping and Restaurant team were especially kind and accommodating. The pool was great and everyone was very helpful. The afternoon tea was also a great edition. It felt very calm and quiet despite being near main access routes for the city.

Really nice, peaceful and beautiful place on a quiet road. Staff is the most polite and nicest people. Breakfast was awesome and afternoon mango and sticky rice with lemongrass tee was the cherry on a cake.
